Spring Has Arrived

Another view on our morning walk ...Taken 3/19/06

Today I decided, spring has arrived. It isn't just the fact that tomorrow is the official start, it has more to do with "a feeling." Stepping outside the door, the air smelled of pine and damp earth. The sky was an incredible blue, even the North wind didnt have a bite to it. The crocuses are poking up through the snow by the sidewalk ,and the daphne and heather are about to bloom. Robins are seen everywhere, their song in the morning is so welcome. Yes, spring, welcome back, you have chased away the gray, cold days of winter and brought your sunny smile.

Hi Toni ... thanks for popping over to my blog tonight ... I'm originally from Long Beach, CA ... but have lived in Utah and Michigan too. The past 19 years we've been in Palmdale, CA. (We're some of those "dang" Californians I read about moving up to Idaho ...lol). Sorry to invade your beautiful state ... didn't know there was a "gold" rush when we decided on Idaho ... My kids had to look the state up on a map just to make sure where we were going to live. I promise we won't cut down too many trees when we build our home! We bought a couple of acres in Hauser Lake Heights and should be up in a few weeks.

Toni, I am glad to hear spring has arrived for you. It is not here in W. PA yet- it did not help that we were in FL for 2 weeks- just long enough to really crave the warmth of the sun. I am anxious to get to Sandpoint and meet you personally. I look at the pictures and think- I know just about where that is. Our ranch is at the very end of Rapid Lightning. Our best friend bought the farm on the corner of 200 and Culbern Culvert.
